IT System Engineer (with Focus Deployment & Testing)

Join our project team dedicated to secure identity and document solutions. We are looking for a hands-on System Validation Engineer with strong Linux and deployment knowledge and practical experience validating complex system environments.

The primary focus of this role is hands-on validation and integration testing of complete system landscapes — including infrastructure, deployments, APIs, integrations, and environment configurations.

This is not a classical QA role. We are looking for an engineer who understands how systems are deployed, configured, integrated, and validated end-to-end.

YOUR MISSION:

• Perform hands-on system validation and integration testing across infrastructure, deployments, APIs, and application layers

• Prepare, deploy, configure, and validate Linux-based environments in AWS

• Execute structured end-to-end testing of deployments, integrations, configurations, and system behavior

• Validate REST APIs and integrations using tools such as Postman or SoapUI

• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue verification during deployments and testing

• Conduct hardware-related testing and validation on-site in Vienna

• Create and maintain technical documentation, validation reports, and deployment procedures

• Collaborate closely with software developers and support implementation progress for selected projects

• Support CI/CD-driven deployment and validation workflows

YOUR TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

Must-haves:

• Strong practical experience in system validation, integration testing, or technical end-to-end testing

• Strong Linux knowledge, including command line usage, administration, and shell scripting

• Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux-based infrastructure

• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

• Strong scripting skills (Python and/or Bash)

• Understanding of networking, infrastructure, deployment processes, and environment configuration

• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, XML, and API testing tools

• Solid SQL knowledge (e.g. PostgreSQL)

• Ability to understand and validate complex distributed systems

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with automated testing and validation tools

• Experience with Kubernetes environments

• Ability to read and understand Java code (development not required)

• Experience with Windows environments and administration

• Experience with secure identity, PKI, authentication, or document management solutions

• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration managementw
